Welcome to Justice Moms
" Community nonprofit organization advocating for Justice against senseless gun violence and supporting Survivors with resources. "
Justices Moms LW is a safe space for any parents and/or grandparent who is unapologetically grieving and seeking justice for the lost of their child. This community was formed based on the Founder's own personal prior "trauma grief". LaCosha Williams is a Survivor of her son (Reese) whose life was senselessly and intentionally taken by homicide. Prior to the traumatic permanent nightmare of losing her son, she enjoyed family and additional roles as an author, motivational speaker, businesswoman, and community servant. Since the death of her son, LaCosha is unwavering in her advocacy and light for full legal justice in Greenville, S.C. Throughout this tragic journey, she has discovered that many other surviving families are also seeking justice without support, guidance and deserved answers in the loss of their loved one. LaCosha has prayerfully and tenaciously fought for what any parent deserves after the natural order of life is disrupted by gun violence. Based on her own survival of severe traumatic grief loss, she formed Justice Moms LW as a supportive resource to other grieving Survivors to encourage and enlighten them as they take "one moment" as a time.

My Story
Lawreese Williams (Reese) was tragically killed on March 7, 2022, in Greenville, South Carolina. He was only 31 years old and was shot multiple times after a brief, nonviolent verbal conversation with a former associate. Lawreese was a vibrant young man with a genuine love of family, passion for art and entrepreneurship. His senseless, untimely death has left a void that can never filled or completely healed. The remorseless, calculated individual responsible for his death claimed self-defense. However, this person later admitted to the authorities that he knew Reese was unarmed. Despite this admission, South Carolina's stand-your-ground law is still being asserted. LaCosha Williams, family and attorney firmly believe that her son's death was not a case of self-defense but an execution-style killing. There was no altercation; her son was unarmed and still shot multiple times. In discovery, evidence has even substantiated that the homicide was not justified. She has been tirelessly advocating for the reopening of his case, seeking full legal justice in from criminal and civil court. As of January 23, 2025, the shooter has been founded GUILTY by Civil Court of "Wrongful Death in the homicide of Lawreese Williams". Williams, the community and her attorney continues to call upon the authorities to re-examine the circumstances and facts surrounding her son's death, hoping that all forms of justice will eventually prevail to the fullest extent allowable by law.
